The ideal candidate is proactive, creative, and ready to execute marketing campaigns both online and on the ground (branches, distributors, events). Duties And Responsibilities Social Media & Digital Marketing: Plan and execute monthly social media calendars for MOGO Tanzania (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). Write engaging captions and create visuals together with the design team (Canva / agency). Run basic Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns: set up, monitor, and report results. Coordinate logistics: banners, flyers, T-shirts, branded materials. Supervise promoters, mascots, and brand ambassadors during events. Collect feedback and photos/videos from the field for social media and reports. Content & Communication Write and localise marketing content — blog articles, news updates, and press releases. Support media relations and coordinate with local journalists or media outlets when needed. Prepare internal communication materials (presentations, reports, etc.). Cross-Department Collaboration Work closely with Sales, Product, IT, and Procurement to align marketing initiatives with business needs. Support reporting and analysis of marketing performance. Ensure all local marketing activities follow MOGO brand standards. Required Job-Specific Competencies/Attributes: 2-4 years of experience in marketing, preferably in consumer finance, FMCG, retail or similar. Fluent in English (written & spoken) and good working proficiency in Swahili. Experience managing social media channels (Facebook/Instagram) including content calendar creation and execution. Familiarity with visual tools (Canva, Photoshop, etc.). Basic experience with digital advertising: setting up/monitoring Meta Ads and Google Ads. Basic knowledge of SEO (e.g., keyword research, monitoring basic website traffic). Strong copywriting skills: able to write posts, blogs/news articles, social captions. Able to coordinate with multiple departments (sales, product, procurement, IT) and work in a field/activation setting (promotions, branches, dealer shops). Good organisational and project-management skills: able to plan campaigns, activations, and track results. Knowledge of the Tanzanian market, local rider/driver behaviours, and ability to localise campaigns for that audience. A proactive, resourceful mindset (because finding deeply skilled marketers locally can be tough, so they need to be hands-on and willing to learn).
