Credit Reference Bureaus

Mogo Credit LTD (Mogo) was on 1st August 2025 licensed by the Bank of Tanzania as a Non-Deposit Taking Microfinance Service Provider. As a result, we are mandated to disclose clients credit information (both negative and positive) to the Licensed Credit Reference Bureaus (CRB) as a part of discharging our functions. Upon disclosure, this information may be accessed by Commercial Banks, Microfinance Institutions, Saccos and other Credit Providers for purposes of assessing your credit applications or for any other legal purposes. 

Kindly note that upon expiry of the notice period on disclosure of your credit information or on adverse listing, Mogo shall without further notice share your credit data with Licensed CRBs. 

Take note that:  

-If your loan repayment aligns with our agreement, the respective information will be shared, and it will positively impact your credit score.  

-If your account is in arrears, information about the delayed payments and days in arrears will be shared, and it will negatively impact your credit score. This adverse listing with the CRBs will only occur if your loan becomes due and unpaid.   

To avoid or reduce any negative impact on the information disclosed to CRBs, you are hereby advised to clear any outstanding arrears and strictly pay the remaining loan instalments as per the repayment schedule.
